#Surfers4sharks is campaign established in 2017 by cutting edge UK shark conservation organisation; Fin Fighters. www.finfighters.org
Fin Fighters run programs all around the world promoting protection, science, policy and education for shark and ray species.
In the UK the Fin Free By 2023 campagin is the first of its kind to strategicaly ban shark fin city by city. The Whats beneath the batter campaign, is empowering consumers to stop unknowingly eating shark in fish and chip shops nationally.
Our international campaigns include the first genetic baseline study of sharks and rays in Morocco, The Citizen Shark Science initiative and cooperative projects in Costa Rica and Spain.
Surfers4Sharks is the first international campaign of its kind and is working to unite the surf community in understanding and protecting sharks as well as promoting safe surf experences.

Lou is the Founder of Surfers4sharks. Founder/Director of Fin Fighters, Director of Sharkfest and the Winner of the 2017 IUCN WCPA Marine Challenge.
She is an ambassador for the Panorama and Blue Solutions networks, a United Nations SDSN Youth Solutions provider and is a member of the CoalitionWild US Department of Interior Mentorship program.
She recently swam with over 50 sharks in Hawaii - no cage needed! and loves cold water surfing; with UK spots Godrevy and Croyde as firm favourites. Lou has also surfed breaks on the North Shore in Oahu, Morocco and Costa Rica.
Jasmine is the Co-ordinater of Sharkfest the UK's first and only shark festival and is an operative member of Fin Fighters.
She is an Environmental Science graduate with 2 main fields of interest: sustainable lifestyle and marine conservation.
Jasmine has been surfing for 4 years, and is a commercially qualified scuba diver with experience in shark research and education. She strongly believes that to successfully raise awareness about environmental topics, campaigning needs to be fun and creative as well as informative.
Favourite surf spot: Oyambre, Northern Spain
Phil is Co-founder and Creative director at Fin Fighters and Event Facilitator/Creative director of Sharkfest. He is an artist, painter and ceramicist, Co-founder of The Granchester Pottery; and is working in Bristol and London.
Phil believes in the importance of creativity in conservation and as such works to promote sharks throughthe arts as much as possible.
Phil has been surfing for a few years and
his favourite surf spot is Gwithian UK. In 2016 he enjoyed surfing Hash point in Morocco.
